The holidays are fast approaching, and if you’re like most people your list includes people who are hard to buy for. Colleagues, clients, employers…it can be difficult to find something that expresses your appreciation and isn’t completely generic. Wine and cheese gift baskets are great gifts, but often they can seem impersonal. If you really want to make an impression, why not add a few unique touches to the traditional gift basket?
Group Baskets If you’re sending a gift basket to a group, you want to include elements that the group will understand and appreciate. Think about what you know about them…what do they do together, or share, that you can work in to the basket?
Maybe they play in an annual golf tournament. In that case, you could include some golf balls and tees, or get a little more fun and tuck in a book of golf jokes, or a golfing calendar that can go up in a common work area.
You can also find something about their logo and brand that you can build a theme around. Find wines with labels that reflect their company colors or nod to their logo…to use a widely known example, people at Mac might get a kick out of an apple wine or brandy.
Or, choose items that reflect their company mission, or services. The I.T. department might appreciate a wine with a spider web on the label, or Halloween-themed wine glasses that have webs etched on them, along with some flash drives or fun desktop toys.
